AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

Complete rip-off and terrible service! Paid $450 for a piece of tape!Back in February, Pep Boys referred me to this AAMCO location because my vehicle was losing communication with the TCM. Their "diagnosis" was just finding a bent wire on the TCM connector. Instead of actually fixing it properly, they literally bent it back into place, put tape on it, and charged me $450 just for a diagnostic fee—claiming it didn't even cover labor!Fast forward to today, and my car is having the exact same issue. When I called them, they casually told me they are under "new management" and that I need to take my car somewhere else. They took $450 of my hard-earned money for a temporary, lazy fix (just tape on a loose wire!), and now they refuse to stand behind their previous work or help me out.I feel completely robbed. Do not waste your time or money going to this shop. They do not care about fixing your car or being honest with customers.

My car decided to leak transmission fluid and break down on the side of the road one morning on the way to work. While the issue was found to not be related to the transmission, these folks were quick to diagnose the problem, be responsive about the car’s progress, and worked fast to get my car back up and running ASAP. Appreciate their work greatly.

Matt at AAMCO Buford Highway was amazing to work with on getting my car's transmission replaced. We had Endurance coverage for a portion of the repair and another shop that did the diagnosis wanted to charge us $1,500 more to do the same job we got a couple of other quotes for. Matt gave us one of the competitive quotes, helped us to get car moved to his shop, and worked seamlessly with endurance. He did a great job and my car is running great now. I highly recommend this shop and will take my car there for other needs in the future.

Shoutout to Matt, Kaheem and the team at AAMCO. They inspected my car and were honest and straightforward. As a woman, I really appreciated being treated with respect and having everything explained clearly. My boyfriend’s dad recommended them, and I’m glad he did. It’s a relief to finally have a car place I can trust. Highly recommend.

I had my Jeep at AAMCO for nearly a month while we waited for my warranty company to approve the transmission repair, and I can’t say enough about how amazing the team was throughout the entire process. They worked diligently and consistently followed up with the warranty company on my behalf, even when the approval process dragged on longer than it should have. AAMCO kept me informed the whole time, explained every step clearly, and went above and beyond to make the experience easier—right down to picking me up from work when my Jeep was finally ready. Their professionalism, patience, and commitment to helping their customers truly set them apart. My Jeep is running great, and I’m incredibly grateful for their hard work. So glad to have my Jeep back! Highly recommend!
